Distance/midpoint/slope toolkit
Definition
Distance: √((x₂−x₁)²+(y₂−y₁)²). Midpoint: ((x₁+x₂)/2,(y₁+y₂)/2). Slope: (y₂−y₁)/(x₂−x₁). These three drive most coordinate geometry.
Read this
Equation of a line: point-slope y−y₁=m(x−x₁).
Circle: (x−h)²+(y−k)²=r² from center-radius definition (distance).
Combine tools: show isosceles with two equal distances; show right angle with slopes or Pythagoras.
